First Preview: the beginning of the conversation

Most of the work in Noteca is done under the New Mentions and Conversations Tabs. In New Mentions, you choose what conversations could be interesting to take part of. In Conversations, you have the full context for participating in the dialogue.
New Mentions is the first screen you see when you access Noteca. Here you can see all of the new mentions Noteca has identified.
What’s a mention?
A mention is a post that contains the keyphrases that you specified, that is potentially related to a subject that you are interested in. It isn’t only the post in itself, but also includes the comments with keyphrases.
More relevant or recent
With tens or hundreds of New Mentions, or even thousands, how do you keep from feeling lost? Sorting the mentions by Relevance or Freshness helps determine what is important and what deserves attention. This way you can optimize the time spent and focus your energy on what is really interesting. Extract signal from noise.
Sometimes, the recentness determines the value of a post or comment. A mention can be relevant because of its immediacy. That is why you can also order your results by Freshness, to explore the most recent mentions.
For both options, you can select your desired time range. If you only want to see the New Mentions from September, you can select a range in the calendar.
What do you see in each New Mention?

With each mention, enough the information is displayed for you to decide whether to participate in or simply ignore a conversation. Noteca shows you what blogs are the most influential, the mentions are displayed with tags that indicate the blog’s importance. There are only four tags: Newbie, Junior, Master and Guru.
To be able to take more factors into your decision: the name of the blog, the title of the post and the date of publication.
In the body of each mention, you will see an excerpt to give some context. And, as every new mention could be generated by several keyphrases, you can see the context in which each of them appeared.
Follow this conversation or discard.
Keeping all this in mind, all that remains is to follow or discard a conversation. To converse or not. When you click on follow this conversation, it will be moved to the Conversations tab, where you can see the entire post with its comments and a lot more information about it. Let’s join the conversation!
